MGS4 Trophies

I am just finishing my first no-kill run (fighting Screaming Mantis), and I am going for the Dove and Wolf emblems. From what I hear, games that get trophies through an update will not work retroactively (i.e. you have to get the trophies after the update). My question is this: can I stop where I am now and wait until MGS4 gets a trophy update, then finish the game, or do you think I will have to start at the beginning and play a full game to get the trophies?

Note: I am just assuming that the Dove emblem would be a trophy...maybe it won't even be.

yeah looks like you're right. i read an interview about Uncharted's trophies, and you have to start a whole new game to get anything. oh well

Well, I guess now I'm forced not to go for the Big Boss Emblem. I think this is really damn annoying.

Yeah, I could but the game loses it's awe about the 5th time through. It would be best if the trophy system for MGS4 were retroactive.

i'm just starting playthrough #4. i'm going for assassin emblem. does that costume have any special effects?
